I remember LOVING Chuck E Cheese as a kid so Jason and I were excited about taking J&A and experiencing that with them. We went today and we were sadly disappointed.
We ordered a large pizza and mozzarella sticks. It took about 20 minutes to get our food (not too bad) but when we sat down to eat it, the pizza was literally a few minutes away from being COLD. There was a very slight bit of warmth to it...which blows my mind because they should have been able to make and deliver a pizza to my house in that amount of time, or so says Pizza Hut.
Then I dipped my mozzarella stick into the dipping sauce and I had to spit it out in my napkin because the dipping sauce had come straight from the fridge. It was VERY cold. So Jason went up to ask for some warm dipping sauce. They let him stand there for SEVEN FULL MINUTES before he spoke up and they told him to go sit down and they would bring it to us?? All we wanted was a little bit of warm dipping sauce? So Jason came back and we waited ANOTHER 5 minutes before we got the sauce...by which time the mozzarella sticks were as cold as the pizza and completely ruined. We had to struggle to eat the food, it was THAT bad. I would have been THRILLED with frozen pizza compared to this crap.
It gets better...our not quite two year olds come walking up to us with one of them holding a SIX INCH DRILL BIT!! When Jason went to complain to the manager, do you want to know what his reply/solution was?
"Would you like for us to warm up your food for you?" Are you KIDDING me?!?!?!
How did such a beloved childhood place turn to such crap for our kids??
So I emailed corporate and I told them I'd NEVER be retuning. I told them I'd blog about them, too. And so here I am. Venting and feeling much better about myself. They say they will reply within 48 hours so we'll see...

We've yet to take Erik there. I wasn't impressed when I went about 7 or 8 years ago. Erik doesn't "know" about it yet, so I think we're safe for a few more years!
I think you should send the link to your blog to them! I highly doubt we will be going back, and our experience wasn't near as bad as yours. Our food was so so, slightly warm. I went up to ask for my salad plate, because they forgot to give it to me, and they stood around talking until I finally said "Um EXCUSE me, but I just need to pick up my salad plate". Maybe I should email corporate too. At `least it was clean.677
They STILL haven't replied!! I think I just might do what Angela said and send them this link. And Ashley, we don't live anywhere NEAR a Chuck E Cheese. We went WAY out of our way for that interesting experience so like you, hopefully we can just get away with them not knowing about Chuck E Cheese. How sad. I used to LOVE that place growing up.
